Jerez de la Frontera, Andalucia
To be brtually honest, the flamenco i saw was average and felt tailored for the tourist..
Positives: some beautiful tapas, nearby beaches are fantastic..
Oh, and i don't think i saw a cloud in 3 months..
Bodegas are interesting the first time; Tio Pepe the best of the few i saw though the highlight was seeing Picasso´s signature on an extremely over-sized barrel..
Would have loved to see the artistic equestrians at work, but hey.. can´t have it all..

Spanish Steps, Rome

If you’re interested, Keats-Shelley museum is at the top on the right hand side..
Keats died there, worth a look..
Impressive though they are, i don’t recommend going in the day..
Leave it till early morning/night if you can.. :)
Meryemana, Efes
Was bowled over by the tranquility of the place..
Apparently Mary was brought here by er.. Saint John..(?) after the JC hit the sack.. and then… you know the story..
Read more about it, it’s absolutely fascinating. :)
Recommend this little corner of Efes..
Take water, and lots of it.

Cutty Sark, Greenwich
Another piece of history lost, and all of a sudden i feel special.. :)
If you didn’t ever get the chance, they were restoring it..
Labour poured £25M into the restoration, and then this..

Fabric, Smithfields
Serious or casual raver, this place is SO epic..
Anyone who hasn’t been, hasn’t lived..
I’m pretty sure Dick Whittington was talking about Fabric when he said his
"..tired of London.. tired of life.. " piece.
So many random meetings.. Very raver/chillout friendly..
The line-ups are more often than not top notch and the artists come and chill afterwards..
Mingle with your favourite DJ/that MC from THAT tune.. etc!
So many happy times..

'Dam, Netherlands

“a great place to find yourself if you feel like your in a rut in the corporate world back at home. I went for just a couple days and came back with a good perspective on my life”
So true..
First time in 'Dam for me was an all expenses paid trip with an advertising company; came back a changed man..
There is so much more to see than coffee shops, (though if you find one the locals use, you’ll never look back), be it the breweries, the beautiful people (not many fatties about), or the frankly bizarre open-mindedness(?) of the whole place..
Where else can you see 75 year old grannies checking out the latest dildos with no qualms about being frowned upon..?
Nowhere in the world like it..
Though the amount of annoyingly loudmouthed tourists does irritate sometimes..
As an introduction to the Netherlands, or an idyllic escape from the normality of that “corporate world”, there can be no denying how epic Amsterdam is.
I shall return :)

Pisa, Italy
Worth visiting for The Leaning Tower alone..
Seems to be generally accepted that there is little else to see in Pisa..
However, if you’ve read the Divine Comedy (Dante), there’s also the Palace of the Orologio, where Count Ugolino della Gherardesca was imprisoned and condemned to death.. and that’s worth a look..
Barring that.. you’ll be wondering how many mini-Leaning Tower statuetes the vendors have got through in the last 20 odd years, and almost hoping that the Tower just falls, so there’s something else to see..
Well, sort of.. :)
